Arrivals and Departures

Bell Times:

- Doors open at 8:25.

- Dismissal is at 2:56.

Arrival Procedures

To ensure a smooth and safe start to the school day, please keep these points in mind:

Arrival Time: Students should not arrive before 8:15 AM, when staff supervision begins on the playground and in the parent drop-off area.
Drop-off Zone: The drop-off area is a no-parking zone. To avoid creating backed up traffic, please pull all the way forward to the school sidewalk area to drop off and leave as soon as your child has safely exited the vehicle.
Late Arrival: Students arriving after the 8:25 bell must enter through the main doors.
Parking: If you plan to walk your child into the school, please park farther down the street to keep the drop-off area clear for other vehicles.

End of Day Procedures

To ensure the safety of all students, Legal School procedure is that all students must go home at the end of the school day.

If you would like to give your child permission to stay on the playground after school, please contact the office to make arrangements. Students who do not have permission to stay must leave school property and check in with a parent or guardian before returning to the playground.

Please make all after-school arrangements with your child before they come to school. Using school phones for these types of calls is discouraged and should only be used in emergency situations.

Student Absences and Early Dismissals

To report a student's absence, late arrival, or early departure, please use the Safe Arrival system or call the school office directly. This ensures that the message is received and recorded in a timely manner.

We discourage using email to report these changes, as messages may be missed if the recipient is away from the school. For an early dismissal, a parent or guardian must notify the office and give permission for the student to leave.

Please note that Elementary attendance is taken in the morning and the afternoon. Junior High attendance is taken at the beginning of each block. Students who are late arriving to class must check in at the office.

Kindergarten and PreK students are dismissed at 11:15.

All items are custom-made and cannot be returned. Sizing charts can be found in the images for each item. The online store will close on Sept 29th. Delivery will be to the school.

Sale is based on product availability from the suppliers and store minimums being met; all purchases will be reviewed when the store is closed. Customers will be contacted if there are any issues we can not resolve.

E-Bikes and E-Scooters

E-Bikes & E-Scooters: Know the Rules, Ride Safely

We’re sharing an important reminder with families about the safe and legal use of e-bikes, e-scooters and other powered devices in our community.

We have been advised that, since the beginning of the year, Alberta Health Services has seen a 40% increase in hospital visits involving children riding e-scooters and e-bikes. With more young people using these devices, it’s important that students and families understand the rules before heading out. An approved bicycle helmet or motorcycle helmet is required when riding.

We encourage families to chat with their children and talk about riding safely, following the rules, and watching out for others.
