MTSS at MHS
Multi-Tiered System of Supports
At Methacton, are committed to ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. To best achieve this, we are exploring a framework called Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for grades 7-12.
MTSS is a proactive and data-driven approach that provides support to each student. It focuses on identifying and addressing students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs through a three-tiered system:
· Tier 1: All students receive high-quality instruction and classroom-wide support as part of the core curriculum.
· Tier 2: Some students receive targeted interventions in specific areas to support their learning and development.
· Tier 3: A small number of students receive intensive, individualized support tailored to their unique needs.
Through MTSS, student progress is continually monitored and research-based strategies are used to help every child succeed.
In the coming months, we will be exploring options and will update you on our progress as we work to build a stronger, more effective support system for all students.

School Rules Matter!
If your child is late to class or school three times or if he/she is using their cell phone at an inappropriate time, he/she will receive a detention. Detentions run from 2:30 - 3:30 Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Your child will choose the day.
If your child does not show up, you and your child will receive a message from the detention monitor, Ms. Quintois. She will schedule your child for another day. Please do not email Ms. Quintois about the detention. She is only the monitor and does not have any specifics about your child's misbehavior.
If your child does not attend the second detention, the assistant principals will become involved and you will be notified by one of them.
