It is hard to believe that we are here — the last full week of school. This week is finals week, and students will be wrapping up classes and finishing assignments as we prepare to close out another school year.

This week also marks the end of our after-school programs, and what a success they have been. I appreciate the staff members who have dedicated their time to running After School Tutoring and Warrior Wellness to provide additional opportunities and support for our students. Thank you for allowing your students to participate. We are fortunate to be able to offer these programs through our Community Schools funding.

As exciting as the end of the year can be, we do need students to continue following school expectations and practicing safe, respectful behavior. Last Thursday, we confiscated more phones than we have on any other day this year. We will continue reminding students daily that phones should be put away and not on their person during the school day — not in pockets, sweatshirts, or out during class time. We appreciate your support in reinforcing this reminder at home as well.

We also want to remind students to continue treating staff and classmates with respect. Even during the final days of school, we expect students to represent the Warrior Way by being respectful, responsible, ready, and safe.

I am incredibly proud of the progress and hard work our students have shown this year. We have received our ISAT scores back, and our students truly put forth effort and showed what they have learned. I am happy to report that, as a school, we were Stronger Together and earned all of our ISAT rewards. This week, students will be cashing in on those rewards with some fun activities and celebrations.

Thank you for sharing your students with us this year. They truly are the best, and it has been a privilege to watch them learn and grow.v

Device Collection

As a reminder, ALL students need to bring their school-issued device to school on May 21 for end-of-year check-in and summer storage. Students must bring their Chromebook, charger, and case. Devices will be checked in, placed in a storage tote, and labeled with the student’s name for the summer. If a student does not bring their device that day, we will have them call home and ask for it to be brought to the school. Thank you for helping us make this a smooth and seamless process.

Our 2025–2026 yearbook has been sent to print, and we have purchased a limited number of additional copies for families. We currently have 30 yearbooks available, which will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

If you would like to ensure your student receives a yearbook during the last week of school, we encourage you to purchase as soon as possible.

Yearbooks are $28 and can be purchased online through PaySchools or in the school office.

Don’t miss the opportunity to capture and remember this school year!

Every Minute Counts at West Minico Every Minute Counts at West Minico

The small, everyday moments in school add up to something much bigger. Each class period, each lesson, each interaction—these are the moments that shape learning, build confidence, and prepare students for the future.

When students miss school, they miss more than just assignments. They miss opportunities to grow, connect, and stay on track. As we approach the end of the year, every moment becomes even more valuable.

Thank you for helping your student be present, engaged, and ready to make the most of every moment.
