Delaware Ridge Elementary PTO

PTO is a group of parents and teachers that work together to plan fun, family events for students at Delaware Ridge Elementary. We meet once a month (usually the first Thursday) in the Media Center at DRE. Meetings usually last about an hour and we use that time to review our budget, plan for upcoming events and take down ideas for future events. All parents/caregivers and teachers are welcome to attend. We'd love to see you there!

PTO recently held a competition for fifth grade students to design some upcoming spirit wear that will be made available for purchase in the coming weeks. We had some wonderful entries! The students were very creative. Teachers voted anonymously on the choices submitted and the winner was Kynleigh Wedgewood! She was awarded a $25 gift card at last Friday's Celebration of Learning and will receive a t-shirt with her design when they come in. Congratulations Kynleigh and thanks to all of the 5th graders that particpated! Be on the lookout for spirit wear order forms in the coming weeks. We hope to have them back before Christmas!

PTO granted a DRE teacher's request to cover a field trip to iFly for the OWL students. The triip includes several stations fo stem activities and the students alwo get to do the fly expierience. We love supporting student learning opportunities!

PTO provided snacks and birthday gift cards to teachers at the October 20 staff meeting, and provided a delicious meal from McAlister's for teachers working late nights during conferences.
