Dear EPS Families,

We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year at Eldridge Park Elementary! We hope your family has enjoyed a summer filled with opportunities to relax, recharge, and make lasting memories. While summer seems to pass by so quickly, it has been a busy and exciting season here at EPS as we prepare to welcome our students back to school.

We had a terrific summer hosting the Summer Shines program, where students learned, explored and had a joyful experience during the month of July. Our custodial and maintenance teams have worked tirelessly to ensure that every classroom and learning space is clean, organized, and ready for another wonderful year of learning. Mrs. Eggert, our Principal's Secretary, has been hard at work supporting our teachers and families and making sure everything is in place for a smooth start to the school year. We can't wait to begin another year of partnering with you as we continue to live our school motto: At EPS, Every Person Shines.

We know many families are eagerly anticipating classroom placements. Student schedules and classroom assignments will be emailed to each family on Wednesday, August 19, by 3:00 p.m. Families will receive an email containing their child's classroom placement along with a link to their teacher's welcome letter. As part of our continued commitment to being environmentally conscious, paper copies will not be mailed home. Genesis will open on Monday, August 24, at 3:00 pm.

If you have not received your child's placement information by Monday, August 24, at 3:00 p.m., please contact us at aamiet@ltps.org or aeggert@ltps.org, and we will be happy to assist you. We also encourage you to check your spam or junk email folder to ensure you receive all school communications.

Please join our Facebook page for important announcements, updates and live videos: https://www.facebook.com/EPSRocks

We are looking forward to a few events on August 27 to kick off the school year.

  • New Student Orientation for grades 1-3 will take place from 2:00-2:30 pm. You will receive a seperate email from me inviting any students who did not attend EPS last year and are new to grades 1-3. This is not for Kindergarten or Preschool students.
  • Classroom Visitation You will have an opportunity to bring your child to visit their classroom and meet the teacher before the first day of school from 2:30-3:00 pm on August 27.
  • PTO Meet, Greet and Have a Treat will take place from 3:00-4:00 pm on the EPS Playground. All students and families are welcome. This is an opportunity to say hello to some of our EPS teachers as well as meet the friends in your class!
    • We need volunteers to help us run this event. If you are available, you can sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D49ABAC2BAA8-65137273-popsicles

We are looking forward to welcoming our students back for another incredible year of learning, friendship, and growth. Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. Together, we will make the 2026–2027 school year one in which every child has the opportunity to shine! If you have any questions, please never hesitate to reach out. You will find my contact information below.

With Excitement,

Ms. Bai, Preschool Teacher

My name is Jane Bai, and I am absolutely thrilled to join the wonderful Pre-K team this school year. Early childhood is such a magical time of exploration and discovery, and I am honored to walk alongside your children as they take some of their very first steps into school life. I hold a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College and am a certified, licensed teacher in New Jersey, New York, and Florida. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching in diverse public and private school settings across all three states—including public school classrooms in Trenton and Bordentown, as well as designing curriculum and content with the Sesame Street Workshop. I am deeply passionate about early child development, Vygotsky’s learning principles, and creating a warm, inclusive, and joyful classroom environment where every child feels valued, safe, and excited to learn. My goal is to cultivate a love for learning through meaningful play, positive collaboration, and creative exploration. Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our 10-year-old son, and exploring nature and the world. I look forward to a fantastic school year filled with learning, laughter, and a strong, supportive partnership with all of our families!

Hi! My name is Keely. I’m a proud mom of two boys, so I know firsthand how special (and busy!) life with little ones can be! I have 16 years of experience working in childcare, and caring for children has always been something I truly love. I enjoy creating a fun, loving and welcoming environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and be themselves. I especially love watching their little personalities grow and being a part of all those exciting firsts and every day moments

Ms. Geter, Preschool Teacher

Hi! My name is Jaime Geter, and I am so excited to be joining the preschool team at Eldridge Park! Lawrence Township Public Schools already feels especially meaningful to me because my mom spent 19 years in the district as a school counselor at Lawrence Intermediate School. I grew up locally and graduated from Villa Victoria Academy, a small all-girls Catholic school, before earning my bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.

My experience with young children began long before becoming a classroom teacher. I have worked as a live-in nanny, taught children through a science enrichment program, and worked with babies in an infant room. I later found my way into early childhood education and have spent the past several years working in preschool, most recently teaching Pre-K in Trenton.

Outside of school, I enjoy Pilates, cooking, long walks, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with my family and friends. I’m especially looking forward to building a strong sense of community in my classroom, collaborating with my colleagues, and forming meaningful partnerships with my students and their families. I am so happy to be starting this next chapter at Eldridge Park!

Ms. Delutis, Art Teacher

I am so excited to start this new journey at Eldridge Park School! It is my 5th school year with this wonderful community! I attended The College of NJ majoring in Elementary Education and Art. Art has always been a passion of mine from childhood thru adulthood. I have been able to use my love of art and children in many ways, including thru the PTA at my children's schools and thru my roles with the YMCA. When the opportunity opened, I enrolled in an alternate route program to finish my teaching cert and begin my career as a teacher. I am very thankful for this opportunity and can't wait to create a classroom full of art and fun!

Can My Child Bring In Birthday Treats to Share? Can My Child Bring In Birthday Treats to Share?

We deeply value the special moments in our students’ lives, including the celebration of birthdays. These occasions are an important part of building community and recognizing each child's unique place in our school family.

In an effort to prioritize student health, ensure inclusivity, and support a safe learning environment for all, we do not allow food, candy or drinks for birthday celebrations.

This decision comes after careful consideration of several factors, including food allergies, dietary restrictions, and our ongoing commitment to student wellness.

Birthdays will still be acknowledged and celebrated in fun, meaningful ways. Teachers may choose to recognize students with special privileges, birthday songs, class games, or other creative activities that make the day feel special for your child. In addition, each child will be recognized at the whole school level, during our monthly Spirit Assemblies.

These guidelines align with the Board of Education Policy 5331 (BOE Regulation 5331R).

Thank you for your continued partnership in making LTPS a safe, inclusive, and healthy environment for all of our students.

NJ Literacy Framework

Our district is committed to helping every child become a confident, skilled reader. The New Jersey Literacy Framework guides our approach to teaching reading in grades K–3 using research-based practices. It focuses on building reading skills step-by-step from understanding sounds and letters to reading fluently and understanding what is read. Teachers regularly check student progress and provide support when needed to make sure all students succeed. The framework also ensures we use high-quality materials, support diverse learners (including multilingual students and those with learning differences), and keep families informed. By working together, we can give every child the strong foundation they need to thrive as readers and learners.
