Principal's News

We had so much fun celebrating our diversity this week! It was fun to discover how much we all have in common and how different we all are. Our uniqueness is what makes our world so much more interesting and fun. Every MES student is special in their own way and that's what makes MES an amazing school!

Library News

This week in Library class we read "Thank you, Omu" a Caldecott Medal winning book that highlights the importance of community and kindness. Oge Mora, the author and illustrator of this heart-warming story, is a local writer who also won the Ezra Jack Keats Book Award in 2019. To further enrich our discussions about the importance of taking care of our communities, we created gratitude stews, inspired by Omu, the main character in the story.

MES LIVE!

We are so excited to announce that our annual Talent Show is back on Friday 3/24 and will be

held at Marshfield High School! Sign-up sheets for acts and volunteer opportunities were sent

via PTBoard email earlier this week.

Get ready to see your name in lights!

Do you own a local business or know someone who does? MES LOVES LOCAL and we are actively seeking Boosterthon sponsors. We have a working list of business to contact; please reach out to us directly through ptomartinson@gmail.com to volunteer or to become a sponsor!

Speaking of volunteering, we have urgent need for an Enrichment Coordinator for grades 3-5 for the remainder of the year. Many, many thanks to Allie Devaney for all the time and effort she has spent shaping this role and bringing amazing programming to our children! She has definitely set her replacement up for success!
