A Note From the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Can you believe we’ve reached May? The energy in our hallways is a unique mix of end-of-year excitement and focused determination. As we enter this final stretch, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude. Thank you for partnering with us this year. From navigating homework hurdles to celebrating personal milestones, your support has been the cornerstone of the incredible growth we’ve seen in our students.
With the finish line in sight, it’s easy for "senioritis" (which, let's be honest, affects middle schoolers too!) to set in. We ask for your help in keeping our students focused on the following:
Academic Accountability: Please encourage your students to stay on top of their remaining assignments and dedicate time to studying for upcoming final assessments. All students are welcome to attend GIANT Support on Wednesday, May 6th.
Athletic Spirit: Our spring athletes are giving it their all. Whether it’s on the track or on the field, we’d love to see you in the stands cheering them on as they wrap up their seasons.
A huge congratulations to our seniors! Graduation will take place on May 20th at 7:00 pm. We look forward to celebrating this monumental achievement with you.
Teacher Appreciation Week: Our teachers work tirelessly to inspire, challenge, and care for your children. If a particular educator has made a difference in your student's life this year, a quick note of thanks or a kind word goes a long way. They are the heartbeat of our school, and we are lucky to have them.
Planning for the Future: While we are focused on ending this year well, we are already preparing for an even better one next year.
2026-2027 Schedules will be available May 11th on Infinite Campus.
Please log into Infinite Campus with your student to review their schedule for the upcoming school year (On or after May 11th).
This is a great time to have a conversation with your child about their goals and interests. If your student is considering a course change for the fall, please note that all schedule change requests must be submitted by May 20th. After this date, schedules will be finalized to ensure we are fully prepared for the first day of school. Counselors will be available during lunch for schedule changes the week of May 11.
Thank you again for your continued dedication to our school community. Let’s make these final weeks count!
With GIANT PRIDE,
Cindy Schmidt
Middle and High School Principal

Vaccination Reminder for the 2026-2027 School Year
Dear Parent or Guardian,
As your child's school nurse, I want to remind you about the importance of ensuring your child is up to date on their vaccinations before the start of the upcoming school year. Vaccines are the most effective way to protect your child from serious diseases and are required for school attendance.
Required Vaccinations for the 2026-2027 School Year:
• Incoming 7th graders: Tdap and Meningococcal (MenACWY)
• Incoming 12th graders: Meningococcal Booster (MenACWY)
To ensure a smooth start to the school year, please make arrangements for your child to receive the required vaccinations before the first day of school. Immunization records or a signed exemption form must be submitted to the school by then for your child to attend.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Beth Wagner
