October 15, 2025

We have so many events this month and we hope to see many of you in the school. This Friday is our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade Family Sing in the gym at 2:00. We had over 150 families attend our September Sing. This was the largest group of families that we've had since I've been here.
The PTO is hosting Family Game Night on the following Friday, the 24th, at 5:30. Then on the 30th, we will continue with our annual Halloween parade on the field. Because this is an early release day the parade will be held from 9:30 - 10:30. We hope that it won't rain, but if it does, we will invite families into the gym and cafeteria and the students will parade inside.
In addition, we have parent teacher conferences on the afternoon of the 30th and all day on the 31st. I will be available during both those days. If you'd like to meet with me for any reason, feel free to send me an email to schedule a time.
See you all soon at one event or another,
Leah Wheelan, Principal

The district will be testing its mass communication system on Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the 4 p.m. hour. You should receive an email, phone call and text message from the Lebanon School District. You do not need to take any action, this is only a test to ensure our communications system is working properly ahead of winter. If you do not receive communication from the district during the test, please contact Director of Technology Tyler Schena at tschena@sau88.net or 603-790-8500.

Navigating Illnesses
As we approach the time of the year when we tend to see (and hear) more illnesses, I wanted to provide a guide as to when it is appropriate to send your child to school and when it is a good idea to keep your child at home.
Hand Foot and Mouth
We have had a large number of students with Hand, Foot and Mouth. This is a virus that is very common among elementary school aged children. It is easy to spread so good handwashing is strongly recommended. We have also been very diligent about wiping down surfaces. I have included a link for review:
https://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html
Injuries / Surgeries
If your child has had an injury (broken bone, major cut or bruise), a recent surgery/procedure, or been diagnosed with a concussion, please contact me. At school we can put a safety plan in place and notify staff who work with your child.
