Educating the Whole Child - September is Yellow!

It is hard to believe we are already moving into September! This month, we will focus on being Honest and our color will be yellow on Fridays. Please talk with your child about being honest and kind.

We had a great Safety August and know that Honest September will even be better!

Attendance

Did you know that we celebrate attendance at Springfield in a vairety of ways?

Attendance Flags - Classes are given a flag to decorate when the have their first day of perfect attendance. Every time the class has perfect attendance, they carry the flag in the halls to celebrate!
Weekly Attendance Trophy: The class with the highest attendance percentage wins the traveling trophy!
Good Attendance Awards - At the end of each grading period, students with no more than two absences earn an attendance award!

Let's see how many days we can perfect attendance this week!

The Wolfie Way - Reading

Wolfie would like to remind our Shark Families about the importance of reading! Please make sure your child is reading or you are reading to your child at least 20 minutes a day. Also, having discussions about the books is an important part of reading as well!

Pick Up/Drop Off Procedures

Please take a look at the Do's and Don'ts listed below for ensuring that our parking lot is safe for students and families. By following the directions listed, we will have smooth drop off and pick up.

Please remember that if you do not plan to park, your child needs to be ready to leave your car as soon as the doors open.

Safety Reminders

We are committed to ensuring our students are safe at school. With this in mind, please remember the following:

Please enter and exit through the front door only.
Please push the button at give your name and purpose of visit when asked.
Once entering the building, please go immediately to the office.

Absences & Dismissal Plans

If your child is going to be absent, please call the office by 9:00 AM. If you do not reach someone, please leave a message.

Please remember to call by 1:30 if you have a change in dismissal plans - i.e. riding the bus instead of being picked up. After 1:30, we cannot guarantee that the student and teacher will be able to get the information.
