Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. I trust that you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend. It was wonderful to spend some extra time with my family and friends enjoying our beautiful weather.

I wanted to inform you that this week, our students will be taking their MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) tests. On Tuesday and Wednesday, students will take their English Language Arts test during their ELA periods. On Thursday and Friday, students will take their Math test during their Math periods. These assessments are an important tool to help us understand each student’s progress and tailor our instruction to better meet their needs.

To ensure that your child is fully prepared for the test, please take the following steps:

  1. Charge iPads: Please make sure that your child’s iPad is fully charged each day this week. A well-charged device will help avoid any technical issues during the test.

  2. Ensure Rest: A good night’s sleep is crucial for optimal performance. Please ensure that your child is well-rested and prepared to do their best.

Your support in these areas will greatly contribute to a smooth testing experience for your child. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.

Thank you for your cooperation and support!

Science Readiness Challenge Science Readiness Challenge

In the month of September, Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Sommer are focusing on coming prepared for class. Classes can earn 3 points a day for coming prepared: bringing a pen/pencil, bringing their binder with folders, and placing their iPads in the correct place at the beginning of class. All classes that earn at least 80% of the possible points by the end of the month will win a treat.
