A Note from Mr. Hamilton, Principal

Greetings,

It's hard to believe I find myself crafting a message for the last newsletter of the 2024-2025 school year.

Every August, in an effort to launch what hopefully becomes the best year yet, I unveil a theme for the year to ground staff in a certain mantra or mindset for the year. This year, our theme was Cast the Bank, a fishing analogy emphasizing a desire to be bold and courageous in our efforts around influencing, impacting, and inspiring our students. In short, the hesitant angler makes hesitant casts, afraid to fail or grow from setbacks, and the outcomes as a result are average at best. The courageous angler, by comparison, makes the aggressive casts, sacrificing ease and convenience (and occasionally... their tackle), while aspiring for something bigger and better. The journey is much harder, but the results... far more rewarding. Make no mistake about it, our staff is beyond talented enough to make the simple casts for a full year and manage a respectable outcome. This year, however, was all about daring to be great, staying curious and driven, embracing the uncertainties associated with new ideas and innovations, being uncomfortable, and finally "trying the thing" we've suspected might be awesome for kids.

Now it's June, and I can say without hesitation that our theme has come to fruition in countless ways. What an incredible year we've had! And, with each courageous "cast" made, despite the obstacles in our way, we've unveiled more areas in which we aspire to get a little bit better each day even still...for kids. This is a special place, and even brighter days are ahead :)

We all know the 2025-2026 school year will be here before we know it. This "off-season" will be an especially active and important one. Please see information in this newsletter regarding ways to support your child this summer while planning and preparing for the next best year yet!

On behalf of the Central staff, much love, and THANK YOU for an awesome year! It has been an absolute honor.

Wishing everyone a truly joyous summer!
