Come meet other bilingual families and get information to support you and your child!

Our BPAC meeting will take place at the Westerhold Early Learning Center, 1375 S 5th Avenue in Des Plaines; enter through Door 11. We start with free pizza and refreshments at 6:00 and provide free childcare.

This month, meet author and bilingual/ESL expert Teresa S. Navas. Ms. Navas will be sharing tips and strategies from her book that support parents in helping their children be successful in our US schools and systems. She offers many useful tips to support your children’s learning during the school day and at home.

Do you want your children to succeed in school?

Do you want to help your children have a better future?

If your answer is yes, her book and this presentation, School Tips for Parents, are for you!

Some of the topics included in her book and that will be shared at BPAC are:

  • Using open ended questions to learn about your children's day

  • Helping with homework

  • The importance of being a bilingual parent

  • Chronic Absenteeism

  • Technology and its impact on children

  • Mental Health

At the end of the session, we will be raffling off copies of her book and some additional books on parenting. Please join us for an evening of learning and fun!
