Family Education Night: Wednesday, January 18th

We will have the following sessions from 6:00 -7:30pm at Reed Elementary School:

  • AAC Parent Panel: Three LISD parents of AAC users will be sharing their successes and struggles with AAC. Come to learn more about their journeys, ask your questions, and gain new insights on how to succeed with AAC in your family!
  • Transition Planning is Confusing: Making the Steps from Elementary to HS Understandable: Join an LISD parent and Denise Geiger, Transition Coordinator, as they have a conversation about transition, independence, and what that may look like for your family.
This month we will only host two sessions so that we can extend the time for both parent conversations and allow time for your questions!

Thanks to assistance from our TEA Autism Grant we will be providing free childcare for up to 20 children. The childcare attendants can care for children 5th grade and under. You must register your child for childcare. Childcare Reservations will close Monday, January 16th or sooner if slots are filled. If your child is 6th grade and older, they are encouraged to learn alongside you during the Family Education Night.
