One of the best parts of being an educator is getting to be a lifelong learner! The Wisconsin Virtual School (WVS) leadership team recently attended a national virtual learning conference to connect with and learn from educators across the country. Events like this always bring fresh ideas and excitement back to our office as we brainstorm ways to make WVS the absolute best experience for you.

But great planning doesn’t just come from conferences; it comes from you! We truly value the thoughts you share in your 1-Month Student Survey and End-of-Course Survey. We review your input constantly to reflect on and improve your learning journey. Thank you for helping us grow!

Warmly,

Mrs. Seymour

AP Classroom and AP Exam Registration

WVS does not order or administer AP Exams. Your local AP Coordinator is the best resource for questions about the AP Exam.

Students enrolled in AP courses through WVS should be registered for two distinct sections in AP Classroom.

  1. A WVS instructor-created section where students will access AP Classroom study materials. The join code for each section of AP Classroom is located in an activity within each course.
  2. An exam-only section created by the local AP Coordinator where students will order exams. Please be sure to order your exam or indicate that you are not taking the exam by the following dates:
    • Year-long and fall-semester-only classes: November 13, 2026
    • Spring-semester-only classes: March 12, 2027

Course Materials

If your course requires additional materials, you can find them listed on the course syllabus and on our WVS Materials List.

Be sure to note whether the materials are provided by WVS and billed to your district, or if they are not provided by WVS. If materials are not provided by WVS, check with your local coach for information about local policies regarding purchasing and paying for these items.

🧠Growth Mindset & Owning Your Learning—Retries

WVS believes in a growth mindset, and we encourage learners to reach out for a retry on assignments/assessments to set growth goals, build understanding, and develop skills for success.

🤖Building Common Understanding Around All Things AI

When we say AI we mean both Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity, and in every online course you will find the following resources to support building a common understanding:
  • What Is Academic Integrity (AI)?
  • Who Is Behind the Screen-Building Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy?

🎉Guardians View to Celebrate Learner Success

Guardians with accounts are able to log in to the system to see a more detailed view of learner success for celebration.

  • You also are able to see the digital content and activities to build your learner's knowledge and skills prior to taking assessments to demonstrate achievement.
  • This view also provides you access to the online teacher's "Connect Time" appointment calendar, 24/7 Tutoring link and Grade page to review scores and teacher feedback.
Your Local School can request this access if it is not currently in place and the resource below walks through using that access.
