District Developments

Dr. Myers will be retiring at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. Both D120 and D75 Board members along with staff will engage in the hiring process for our next Superintendent. The Shared Service committee has selected BWP & Associates to assist in the nationwide search process. Applications are being accepted now through October 10th, 2024 and interviews will take place this fall. The committee anticipates announcing a candidate for approval at the December Board of Education meetings.

The Referendum committee has been meeting weekly to finetune the plans for the use of funds. There is a plan in place should the referendum be successful in the November 2024, and a plan should the referendum not pass.

A team comprised of the Business Office, Facilities and Grounds, in tandem with CSMS Administration and staff have been working over the summer to craft an updated scope of the plans for the gym/auditorium/stage in the middle school. After the bid process is completed this fall, the project is anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2025.
