Day 2 Healthy Living Tip
Congrats on Surviving Day 1😊
How are you feeling? The first three days are always an adjustment.
Days 2 and 3 are usually the hardest! Have an extra fizz to curb cravings/crashes.
Let's use this day to help you understand A1C & the importance of BALANCING OUR BLOOD SUGAR!! 🩸🎢 👍🏼
🩸 What Your A1C Is Telling You About Your Body 🧬
Your A1C is like a report card for your blood sugar over the past 2–3 months. It measures how much glucose (sugar) is attached to your red blood cells—and gives insight into how well your body is managing blood sugar long term.
🔍 Why it matters:
• A normal A1C is below 5.7%
• Pre-diabetes falls between 5.7% and 6.4%
• Diabetes is diagnosed at 6.5% or higher
But here’s the key 👉 You don’t have to wait for a diagnosis to take control. Your daily choices with food, movement, and stress management all impact your A1C.
💥 Blood sugar spikes → energy crashes → fat storage → cravings
When we eat too many processed carbs or go too long without eating, our blood sugar swings high and low. That rollercoaster:
• Spikes insulin (which tells your body to store fat)
• Leads to crashes (which trigger hunger, fatigue, and mood dips)
• Increases cravings for sugar and caffeine (which keep the cycle going)
🌱 What stable blood sugar looks like:
✔️ Your body taps into fat for energy
✔️ You protect lean muscle
✔️ Energy stays steady
✔️ Cravings decrease
📉 Bottom line: If your goal is better energy, a healthy weight, and long-term wellness—focus on balancing your blood sugar instead of riding the spike-and-crash wave. Your A1C will thank you!
🍓 Tip: Stick with low-sugar fruits (like berries), healthy fats, protein, and fiber-rich carbs to support stable levels all day long.
