Picture Day

OMS completed the first round of picture day opportunities this week. Picture day is one that provides a little stress to Mr. Knash. We think his school picture turned out great this year! However, if your students picture didn't turn out as good as Mr. Knash's don't fret. Picture retakes are scheduled for September 24.

NWEA Testing Preparation

NWEA Fall testing will happen next week. Why is NWEA testing important? Teachers use the data to help inform decisions around instruction for your student! This year all students will also use the data to track their own reading level using the Lexile scores that come from the reading test portion of the NWEA. Please encourage your student to do their best next week!

Bulldog Pride Tickets

Here at OMS we love to celebrate students who show good character by following the Bulldog Pride expectations that we have in the building. Teachers hand out individual tickets to students who go above and beyond in following these expectations. Students can save their tickets they earn to spend at the school Pride ticket store that is open once a month or enter their tickets into the weekly drawing box located by the office.

Purple Week 2026

Purple Week is coming up September 21-25, and the time is now to get your purple apparel! We have short and long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, and more! All proceeds go directly to cancer and Parkinson’s disease research at Van Andel Institute. Wearing your purple shows your support for the cause - we hope to make this the most successful Purple Week fundraiser yet!!!

Keep Your Final Forms Up To Date

Otsego's Athletic Department partners with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your students.

FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, you only enter the same information once and pre-populates information, for each of your students, saving you time.

You can also print the MHSAA health questionnaire or physical examination form directly from your FinalForms site to take to your child's physical appointment. Current year physical = given on or after April 15th of the previous school year. and turned in before the first official practice.

Additionally, FinalForms will allow you to:

• Pay athletic fees online

* Upload any documents needed such as physicals, concussion form, etc all through your FinalForms account.

Make sure and select the sports you will be playing for the current School year to receive preseason information and the start of season practice and tryout information.

OMS-ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible for interscholastic athletics, a high school student must:

TRIMESTER RECORDS: Students may not fail more than one class in the previous trimester of enrollment to be eligible for the current trimester.

CURRENT ACADEMIC CREDIT RECORD: In season a student athlete must carry at minimum, 50% of full credit load for a full time student. A student athlete may not fail more than one class to be eligible.

WEEKLY ELIGIBILITY: A report of cumulative grades will be compiled on Friday of each week and submitted to coaches. The report will reflect student's receiving an accumulative grade of "D" or below. If an athlete is failing more than one class, that athlete will then be ineligible for competition from Monday through Sunday of the next week.

Spikers Volleyball

We're excited to offer a fun and energetic volleyball program for girls in grades 3–6. Whether your child is new to the game or already has some experience, Spikers Volleyball focuses on building skills, teamwork, and a love for the game.

We will again offer 2026-2027 OPS home event passes/punch cards, which are good for regular-season home athletic events. We will also have student-only Wolverine Conference passes available.
