Message from Principal Terri Jackson
Dear Woodland Families,
I hope this letter finds you well. Time flies when you are busy learning and having fun!
November was an incredibly busy and productive month for our community, and we're excited to share some highlights with you. A special shoutout goes to our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) for sponsoring an extremely successful Turkey Bingo Night. The event was not only a lot of fun, but it also provided a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, connect, and enjoy food, fun, and friendship. We're grateful to everyone who contributed to the beautiful silent auction baskets, making the night even more memorable. We also had a big turnout for our middle school panel. We had many 4th & 5th graders and families attend the middle school panel discussion with six of our Woodland alums who are now in 6th grade sharing their wisdom about the middle school experience. It was informative and fun! Next, we look forward to the always popular PTO Movie Night on December 12th.
With the cold winter weather upon us, we kindly ask parents to send appropriate clothing (label with names) for your children to wear during recess. Outdoor play is crucial for their well-being, and we want to make sure our students can enjoy it, even as the temperature drops.
As we enter the holiday season, our Woodland staff wish to express our sincere gratitude to the entire Woodland community. Your support, involvement, and generosity has made a significant impact on our school.
Wishing you all a peaceful and joyous winter break, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends. May the spirit of togetherness and gratitude continue to guide us through the holiday season and into the new year. See you in 2026!
With heartfelt thanks,
Terri Jackson
Principal

PTO News
Turkey Bingo
Wow! What a great community we have. We had a full gym of Woodland families playing bingo, a media center full of silent auction baskets, and smiles all around. We were able to raise close to $10,000 from this event with bingo sales, concessions, the experience raffle and our silent auction baskets. A successful event for sure! Thank you to all families that contributed to classroom baskets and to the staff who donated fun experiences for our raffle.

We want to CONNECT with you in whatever format works best. Our PTO's success is because of our volunteers. We always need new volunteers, especially as we work to backfill positions that will empty due to students moving to middle school. We send out regular emails, have an active Facebook page, and post on our website (woodlandpto.org).
