Dear Rattler Families,
We have an exciting week ahead at RHE!
Our Trunk or Treat event is this Friday night, and we can't wait for an evening of fun with our Rattler community! Be sure to check out the flyer below for all the details. Our amazing PTO is still looking for a few more families to decorate trunks! If you're interested, please sign up on Konstella. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated candy to help make this event a success!
I have also seen some AMAZING Storybook Character Pumpkins! Our Rattlers have been so creative, and I love seeing their favorite book characters come to life. Be sure to check out Ms. McMillin's flyer below for more information.
Don't forget to wear orange on October 21st for Unity Day!
One final reminder: For morning arrival, please use our designated drop-off areas and parking lots with crossing guards. The safety of our Rattlers is always our top priority, and we appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe!

Mark your calendars! Rough Hollow Elementary, West Cypress Elementary, and Lake Travis Middle School are coming together to host a vibrant celebration of our unique backgrounds, traditions, and heritages.
Come hungry, bring your family, and travel the world right in our community!

Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: Lake Travis Middle School (4932 Bee Creek Rd, Spicewood, TX 78669)
Admission: Free and open to the community!
What to Expect:
- Diverse Culture Food Trucks – A delicious variety of international flavors.
- Multicultural & Heritage Performances – Music and dances showcasing global traditions.
- Interactive Country & State Displays – Learn fascinating facts from across the globe.
- Cultural Art Displays – Explore beautiful global artistry.
- Games from Around the World – Fun, interactive games for all ages.
- Henna & Mehndi Art – Get beautiful temporary body art designs.
We Need Your Help!
This beautiful event is powered by our PTO's and amazing community. We are actively looking for:
- Display Board Creators: Help us represent different countries or states by designing educational display boards.
- Volunteers: Lend a hand with event setup, games, or coordination to make the day a success.

Spooktacular Trunk or Treat!

We’re getting ready for another amazing Trunk or Treat for our RHE families! There are two easy ways you can help make the night extra special: Donate Candy — Drop bags of individually wrapped treats with your classroom teacher or in the front lobby. Decorate a Trunk — Sign up to decorate a trunk for your child’s class and help create a fun, festive experience for everyone! Every bag of candy and every decorated trunk makes a BIG difference! Thank you for helping us make RHE Trunk or Treat a night our kids will love!
Celebrate your child's birthday on the RHE Marquee!
$20 donation for the first child in a family and $10 per each additional child. Proceeds benefit the RHE PTO.

SLAC
In response to Senate Bill 13, the Board of Trustees established the Lake Travis ISD School Library Advisory Council (SLAC) to provide a collaborative and transparent process for reviewing library materials. SLAC works with librarians and district staff to recommend library materials for procurement, including donated titles, and to review material challenges before making recommendations to the Board. Proposed materials are available for public review and feedback at least 30 days before Board consideration. Visit the SLAC webpage to review proposed titles, provide feedback, or access the Library Materials Challenge Form.
