Feature Column - Committed to Learners and Excellence: CTE, CTSOs, and NTHS
At Fargo Public Schools, Career and Technical Education is about more than preparing students for a career. It is about relevance. Helping every learner discover their strengths, develop meaningful skills, build confidence and see possibilities for their future. That commitment to learners and excellence extends beyond the CTE classroom through Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).
Read more about how CTE takes learners beyond the classroom with CTSOs and the NTHS in this Feature Column by CTE Coordinator Heather Sinkler.

Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow!
School is more than a place learners go. It's where they discover new ideas, solve problems, build friendships, create, compete, perform, and prepare for their future. These moments happen every day and they can't be recreated. That's why we're asking everyone to be All In. Every Day.
Fargo Public Schools encourages families to help learners be in school every day. Remember, every additional day a student is in school creates another opportunity to learn, participate, and succeed. Learn more about the importance of attending school every day.

- VOTE 2026 -
Vote November 3
On the November 3 general election, Fargo Public Schools will have a question on the ballot for approval of a general fund mill levy. The approval would grant Fargo Public Schools the authority to maintain its current offerings in its schools. Providing this authority ensures that the District can continue to cover the costs of offering a comprehensive educational experience for all students.
Please vote on November 3 and visit www.fargo.k12.nd.us/vote2026 to learn more about the impact this vote will have on our schools, our learners, our educators, and our community.
Early Voting October 27-30
Early voting is available Tuesday, October 27 to Saturday, October 30 at the Ramada Inn, FARGODOME, Hartl Ag Building at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, and the Fargo Parks Sports Center.
Early voting hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at all locations except FARGODOME.
FPS Mill Levy History
What is the history of the number of mills levied by Fargo Public Schools over the past 25 years?
Over the past 25 years, FPS has decreased the general fund mill levy by a total of 170.82 from 297.6 mills in 2001. Of the total reduction, 125.0 mills resulted from legislative action and 45.82 mills resulted from District levy reductions.
Fast Fact
The Fargo Public School District is proud to offer learners a variety of activities to participate in throughout their academic careers. FPS sponsored activities include competitive athletics, co-curricular clubs and organizations, performing arts and forensics. Seventy-one percent of middle school and high school learners participate in at least one activity offered by FPS.
If voters approve an excess mill levy on November 3, FPS will continue to be able to provide the same quality educational opportunities for all learners in the District. FPS desires to meet the community’s expectation of a high-quality education for its learners.
