Mrs. Viña's Message
Hello, Gator Families!
We want to share some very important announcements and reminders for this week at Glenwood Elementary:
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Early Dismissal: Dismissal time for all students is at 12:35 PM every day this week.
Traffic & Patience: Because the entire school is dismissing at the exact same time, traffic will be heavier than usual. Please be patient and drive carefully during pick-up.
STAR Program: If your child attends the STAR program, they will follow their regular, habitual schedule for the week—there are no changes to their program hours.
Punctuality: Please ensure you arrive on time for your scheduled conference. Being punctual helps us keep all meetings running on schedule and ensures every family gets their full allotted time with the teacher.
Thank you so much for your continued patience, support, and collaboration in keeping our school community safe and thriving!
Best regards,
Mrs. Vina

Enrollment for the 2027-2028 School Year Opens November 2nd!
In the Conejo Valley Unified School District we are proud to offer a right fit for every student in our award-winning TK-12 schools. For the 2027-2028 school year: Neighborhood School Enrollment for *new* CVUSD students will open on Monday, November 2, 2026 - the same date that the School Choice Application and Interdistrict Transfer Application opens. Please see below for an overview of CVUSD enrollment information:
Getting Started: Enroll Your New CVUSD Student at Your Assigned Neighborhood School
If you are enrolling your student for the first time in a CVUSD school for the 2027-2028 school year, you will need to first complete the online Pre-Enrollment form to enroll your child at their assigned neighborhood school. Even if you are planning to complete a School Choice Application - all new CVUSD students must first enroll at their assigned neighborhood school.
- Click Here to Access the Online Pre-Enrollment Form for the 2027-2028 School Year (available on or after November 2nd)
- Not sure of your assigned neighborhood school? Use the District’s “Street Index” and “School Locator” map.

Welcome TK Families: What You Need to Know
All students who will be four years old by or on September 1, 2027 are eligible to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) in the CVUSD for the 2027-2028 school year. TK is the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program, where students will build connections with peers, experience hands-on, play-based learning opportunities and be exposed to academic skills that they will master in Kindergarten.
TK enrollment for the 2027-2028 school year opens on Monday, November 2, 2026. All TK students are required to enroll at their assigned neighborhood school. Even if families are planning to complete a School Choice Application - all new CVUSD students must first enroll at their assigned neighborhood school.
- Ready to learn more? Attend the CVUSD TK Enrollment Information Webinar on Tuesday, October 27th at 6pm - click here to register for this free event led by members of CVUSD’s Instructional Services team.

Submitting a School Choice Application
The majority of CVUSD’s students attend their assigned neighborhood school via the Neighborhood School Enrollment process. For families who would like to apply to enroll their student in a CVUSD school other than their assigned neighborhood school, this may be completed via the School Choice Application process.
For the 2027-2028 school year, School Choice Applications that are submitted between Monday, November 2, 2026 and Monday, February 1, 2027 will be considered “on-time” and included in the priority lottery process. Important: All *new* CVUSD students must first enroll at their assigned neighborhood school via the Online Pre-Enrollment Form before submitting a School Choice Application (available on or after November 2nd).
- The School Choice Application for the 2027-2028 School Year will be available to complete online here (available on or after November 2nd)
- Click here to learn more about School Choice in the CVUSD.
Submitting an Interdistrict Transfer Form
If a family resides outside of CVUSD’s boundaries, but would like to attend a CVUSD school, an Interdistrict Transfer Form must be completed. Families must complete an Interdistrict Transfer Form and submit it to their assigned, “home” school district. Interdistrict Transfer Forms should be submitted to CVUSD during the priority period (Monday, November 2, 2026 - Monday, February 1, 2027). Enrollment is contingent on release from your district of residence. Additional information about the Interdistrict Transfer process is available online here.
