We are halfway through the second semester of school. Progress reports are available on the Parent Portal, please review your child's academics with them to ensure they are on the right track for the school year.

The last few weeks have been busy for our Music Department. Dot and the Kangaroo Jr. was a hit! Thank you to our Drama Club advisors for the endless hours put into making the show a success, our students are lucky to have you. We wrapped this week up with our Band performances which followed our Chorus Concerts from last week.

Our staff had a week full of Reindeer Games. We held raffles, finish the lyrics contest and even a staff Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament. The students had a blast watching their teachers battle it out for title of Tournament Winner. Congratulations to Mrs. Guslowski who collected the most bead necklaces and claimed the title.

As we head into Winter Break, please use the time to rest and recharge so we can hit the ground running in 2025.

-From all of us at NTMS, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Our Exploratory Lab is Open and Ready for Business Our Exploratory Lab is Open and Ready for Business

We are excited to give our students the opportunity to learn animation, 3D printing, laser engraving and how to use a Cricut to design products through our Exploratory Lab (STEM). Students have the opportunity to visit the room during a study hall as an extension to their learning. This month we want students to learn the ins and outs of the machines and all of the things they offer. Eventually, our goal is to model the room after the High School's "Jack of All Trades" space and create our own shop for teachers and students to order products that will be made by our very own NTMS students.

FACS Teams Up With Our Elementary Students FACS Teams Up With Our Elementary Students

On Friday, December 6th, FACS teacher Mrs. Fredrickson, Ms. Platt and 25, 8th-grade students brought a special project to life by delivering hand-sewn creations to Spruce and Ohio Elementary Schools. This exciting cross-school collaboration highlighted the creativity and care of our students while fostering connections across grade levels.

The project began weeks ago when elementary students colored templates of bears, inspired by A Christmas for Corduroy and their own imaginations. Our 8th-grade Family and Consumer Science (FACS) students took on the challenge of hand-sewing each design to bring the templates to life—creating over 120 one-of-a-kind bears!

To make the experience even more meaningful, the 8th-grade students spent extra time with the elementary kids. Together, they frosted sugar cookies (made by our 8th graders) and enjoyed a reading of A Christmas for Corduroy. These moments of shared joy and learning emphasized the importance of creativity, teamwork, and community.

FACS classes—short for Family and Consumer Science—focus on teaching students life skills such as sewing, cooking, and college and career readiness, while also encouraging collaboration and critical thinking. This project, led by Mrs. Fredrickson and Ms. Platt’s FACS class, beautifully aligns with our district’s strategic plan by fostering meaningful experiences and connections between our schools.

Thank you to the Spruce Elementary Kindergarten classes and Mrs. Stefanucci and Mrs. Giuseppetti’s 3rd-grade classes at Ohio Elementary for their enthusiasm and creativity. A huge congratulations to all of our 8th-grade students for their hard work and dedication! 💙🐻
