MTES families, as we approach our final days of the 2022-2023 school year, we want to take a moment and say one final "thank you" for everything this year. We would like to congratulate our 5th graders as they transition to MTMS, and we are eager to welcome our newest kindergarteners, the class of 2036! Please see some final reminders and updates below. August 21: 1/2 of KG students attend (information will be provided to KG families this summer)

August 22: 1/2 of KG students attend (information will be provided to KG families this summer)

August 23: All KG students attend

Last week, our Kindergarten students and staff posed for a picture in Tony's Welding and Fabrication Stadium. The picture was taken by Mr. Ryan Tarbutton by drone, and each kindergarten student and teacher was provided a copy, courtesy of the Miami Trace Elementary PTO! What a fun way to finish 2K23!

Open Enrollment applications will be reviewed in the coming weeks, and families will be notified of their child's status as soon as we finish this review process. Thank you for your patience.

5th grade students had the opportunity to participate in a Pen Pals program, which is facilitated by Mrs. Suzanne Arthur, 5th grade Math teacher. Through this program, students communicate with senior citizens throughout the school year. This is culminated with a luncheon at the MTES Media Center. Thank you to Mrs. Arthur and the 5th grade students that participated!

This year was perhaps the strongest ever for the MTES PTO, which is comprised of Jeff Thoroman, Jennifer Thoroman, Erika Miller, Jacklyn Brobeck, and Jessica Six. Their efforts helped to provide some incredible experiences for staff and students alike. Parents are encouraged to join this group, attend meetings, or volunteer for events. Meetings are held monthly throughout the school year. On behalf of the entire staff at Miami Trace Elementary School, we would like to say "THANK YOU" to our incredible PTO!!!
