Let's make the last day before break cozy! Students are encouraged to wear cozy clothes or jammas. They may bring a small stuffie to snuggle with if they'd like.

I apologize for the change. We hope you can join us to celebrate the work children have been doing in their music classes!

Last week, we adjusted some of our dismissal practices. We appreciate everyone following the group plan! I wanted to keep the information in the newsletter for a bit in case it's helpful.

Changes in Dismissal

We strongly discourage changes in dismissal plans. It requires several steps in communication to be sure everyone is in the know for one child and we have 334 students to account for. If you have an emergency and must call the office to change your child's plan, please do so by 11:00am.

Car Pick-up- everyone should read in case you need to use car pick-up at some point

Every day, please put a placard with at least your child's name on your driver's side dashboard. Below is a template for one, but honestly, it can be the name written on the back of an envelope...it will make the car line run more quickly and efficiently if Mr. Baum can just walk down the line and read off names. If you do not have your child's name up, Mr. Baum will be asking you to loop back around.

Buses

We changed how we gather students to load. Please thank them for being so flexible!

Walkers will continue to be dismissed from the same cafeteria door.

Thank you for your partnership in helping school procedures to be efficient, safe, and operating within staff contracts.

For the safety of all students, please use this list to choose snacks that are allowed at the Osgood School. We do have a nut free table in the cafeteria, so this guidance is just for snacks, which are most often eaten in classrooms. The list was generated to avoid having our school nurses check all students' snacks each day to be sure they are safe.

Please pack your child's snack separate from their lunch.

For information regarding school transportation, please visit the transportation page on the new CPS website. All students must be registered through transportation to ride the bus. However, buses are full at this time and they are placing students on wait lists.
