A Note from Ms. Davis

Good Evening Cascades Families!

As always weather is unpredictable and we go from 60 and sunny to 30 and rainy. Please be sure that your student is properly dressed for the day when they come to school.

Please label your students hats, coat, gloves, snow pants, and boots. Please label your students hats, coat, gloves, snow pants, and boots.

Eloping

We have noticed an increase in instances where students are leaving their classrooms or designated areas without permission. We want to take a moment to reach out to you all- please reinforce with your student the importance of staying in class throughout the school day.

When students “elope” or leave class without permission, it can create safety concerns and interrupt valuable instructional time. Our staff is always available to help if a student is feeling upset, overwhelmed, or needs help. We encourage all students to use their words and ask a teacher or another trusted adult for help rather than leaving the classroom.

Please support this message at home by reminding your student that:

  • Their teachers and staff are here to help them at any time.

  • It’s important to stay where adults can see them to stay safe.

  • Every minute in class helps them learn and grow.

Students that continue to “elope” or walk out of class will be assigned an afterschool detention for each elopement.

We appreciate your continued partnership in helping every student feel supported, safe, and ready to learn. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s experience at school, please reach out to your child’s teacher or Ms. Davis.
