Benson Bulletin

We are so excited to welcome you to a brand-new school year! Our staff has been hard at work preparing classrooms and creating a warm, engaging environment where every child can grow, learn, and thrive. We can’t wait to see the hallways filled with joyful energy and curious minds once again.

This year also brings a new drop-off lane designed to make morning arrival smoother and safer for everyone. Updates to drop-off procedures can be expected as we prepare for the start of the school year, so we can ensure a safe and efficient start to each day.

Thank you for being such an important part of our school community. We look forward to a fantastic year of learning and connection at Benson!

There will be many opportunities for students to get involved this school year and fun social events. We encourage all parents/guardians and students to check email frequently for these updates.

Join us for the first PTO meeting of the year on August 25 at Benson at 6:30pm. At this meeting, you will pay your dues and sign up for committees as well as join the list to sign up for class parties.

First Days of School

First & Second Grade-- Wednesday, August 20th

Preschool & Kindergarten-- Monday, August 25th

Teacherease Homeroom Assignments: After 3pm on Wednesday, August 13th teacher assignments are posted in Teacherease for first and second grade students. Kindergarten & Preschool placements will be posted at a later date.

The Benson Student Day is:

8:45am-3:35pm

• Students SHOULD NOT ARRIVE prior to 8:35am. We will not be supervising outdoor areas until this time. Thank you for helping avoid early arrival.

Early Release Wednesdays: Marked with ER on the calendar below are dates our students will be released early from school for the purpose of teacher development. Early release day times are 8:45am-1:35pm.

As the year begins please know it is normal for your child's bus route to be delayed as students become familiar with their bus route. We have a service to help you be notified if there is a delay. Bus number and approximate pick up times will be shared with families through Teacherease on August 13th.
