NMSHS PANTHER POST
April 7, 2023
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE - Mr. Goodrich
Nederland Middle-Senior HS Community,
Next week is the state of Colorado assessment for high school students and the Science CMAS assessment for 8th graders. Our teachers have been teaching the standards that are assessed on the SAT/PSAT and Science CMAS test all year. Our students are prepared to do their best.
Successful performance on the high school SAT test will provide our junior students with what they need for college applications and it will meet a state graduation requirement (an extra measure to show proficiency in math and language arts). The PSAT will give students a chance to practice and to determine what we need to do to support them in the next few years academically. The tests are in the morning starting at 9:30 and end at approximately 12:30. After the tests juniors and seniors may leave campus, grades 8, 9, 10 will be excused with parent permission. It is important for students to not have their cell phones and smart-watches in the testing rooms while taking the assessment.
Please see the schedule below.
Have a great weekend,
Gavan

All Are Welcome!
Students, parents, and staff are invited to join others across the BVSD to walk and roll to school.
