What a WONDERFUL week!

It is definitely the end of the year, as we wind down with so many fun annual events...2nd Grade Mock Market, A Walk Down Memory Lane with our AHS seniors, Tie-Dying and Field Day! We got lucky with the weather and were able to get everything in that was scheduled and boy did the kids and staff have a blast! Many thanks to all who lent a hand in making one or more of these events come to life! I did my best to get plenty of pictures in to show you all the fun that was had!

Enjoy a wonderful, long Memorial Day weekend and get ready for a fantastic last three days! We are so excited for our incoming 1st graders to visit on Tuesday, to celebrate our last rally on Wednesday and to send off our 2nd graders in fine fashion with Lunch on the Lawn Thursday! It's going to be a wonderful few days!

Take care and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns or feedback!

Annual Tie-Dying Fun!

You will notice in the Field Day pics all of the beautiful tie-dye shirts our students wore! Thanks to Miss Hickey's annual tie-dye activity in May and the help of countless volunteers, all of our students were able to make a brightly colored tie-dye t-shirt! They turned out adorable and it was so neat to see them all today! Check out some of the pictures!

Let's Celebrate Some Class Newspaper Writers!

As we have been working more on the Chromebooks, learning how to type, add pictures, etc... Leela Nandoor and Mila Salway have taken interest in making a classroom newspaper. They would ask others if they had any news they would like to share with the class. Leela and Mila would take notes and turn that writing into a word document and add pictures. Once done, they would share with the class. They have created two editions so far! I am so proud of their hard work!

One Final Message from Craddock's School Counselor, Mrs. Schnur

Hello Craddock Families!

I cannot believe summer break is right around the corner! This year went so fast! I am so glad to have worked alongside your student(s) for yet another school year. It is such a privilege! I will greatly miss our second grade students who I have gotten to know these past two years but wish them the best of luck at Leighton! They are going to do such great things and I cannot wait to see all they accomplish. I am already looking forward to welcoming our first graders back in August as second graders and getting to know all of our new first grade students!

Our May career lesson was a huge success! I want to thank all of the family members who shared a video with me. The students enjoyed this lesson so much, as did the staff! It was so cool to learn about the careers of people in our community. I think it is so important to expose our students to different careers as they might spark a new interest in them and help them grow.

In my August update I will include a link to a google form that will allow you to share any information with me about the social emotional needs of your child. On this form there will also be a section to make me aware of any additional needs your family may have or other ways I can support you. Be on the lookout for that at the end of the summer!

I recently found out about a free online program through the state of Ohio called “The Triple P-Positive Parenting Program”. This is a great resource to check out if you’re looking for some guidance on how to support your child's development and well-being! I have linked the website below! This could be a great resource to check out over the summer!

Learn More about The Triple P!

Here is a fun, optional resource to complete this summer that focuses on social emotional learning!

Summer SEL packet.pdf

Thank you for all of your support this school year and I look forward to partnering with you again soon for another successful and fun school year! :)

Have a fun and safe summer! I can’t wait to hear all about it!

Take care,

Claudia Schnur

Blacklight Art - Craddock is GLOWING!

Many thanks to Miss Hickey and our very talented young artists for putting together the wonderful blacklight art display in our cafeteria! When the lights went and the blacklights went on, it was so cool to see! Check out the picture below!

Transportation Information from Mrs Wingler 🚌

All students schedules are currently available through the MyBus K-12 App. How to access the App is located on the ACSD website under Departments/Transportation on the right side of the webpage. I have included the link below.

If any student is needing to be picked up or dropped off other than their home location, they MUST fill out an alternate bus stop form before we can transport and return to us by email, fax or dropping off at the office. That form is located in the same area as listed below on the webpage and is also included below.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. My email is cwingler@aurora-schools.org.
