Hello Primary Pups!
A Note from Mrs. Bagarozza (Mrs. B)
Hi WPS Families,
Thank you to everyone who attended our Spring Fling last Friday. It was a lot of fun and we will share pictures in the next issue.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of our incredible staff!
In preschool, we know that every staff member, whether their title includes “teacher” or not, plays a vital role in your child’s growth and learning. This year has been filled with so many exciting events at WPS, and it’s our dedicated staff who make each one so special. More importantly, they bring that same energy, care, and creativity to everyday moments, turning even the simplest parts of the day into meaningful experiences for our students. I feel truly fortunate to work alongside such passionate and inspiring educators. We are grateful for all they do and are proud to celebrate them this week. A special thank you to the PTA for providing so many thoughtful treats in honor of our staff!
Today is our Scholastic Book Fair, sponsored by the WPS PTA, at Wall Primary School. Students will be able to go during school hours and families are invited after school hours from 3-5. We look forward to seeing many of you there!
Our Memorial Day Parade will be held on Friday, May 22nd. Weather permitting, this will be held outside around our front lawn. The morning group will have their parade at 10 am and the afternoon group will have their parade at 1:45 pm. Don't forget to dress your child in red, white, and blue to celebrate!
The last day for students this year at Wall Primary is Friday, June 12th. Then, on Monday, June 15th we will be having our Wall Primary School Graduation at the Wall High School at 9:30 am. Parents of our graduating students are responsible for bringing their children directly to Wall High School that day. I will share more information about parking as we get closer.
This year, to honor our graduating pups, we are inviting every family to write a message to their child to be published in our program. Each family can only submit ONE message per child. Please keep these message to 120 characters or less (that includes letters, numbers, and punctuation but NOT spaces). Complete this form linked below by Friday, May 29 (but the sooner the better!).

Notes from Nurse Amanda
Hi WPS Families!
I would like to send out a few helpful reminders to help keep our students, families, and staff healthy for the remainder of the school year. Please, If your child is sick with a fever, keep him or her home until the fever has subsided for at least 24 hours (without the help of fever-reducing medication). If your child has been vomiting or has diarrhea, he or she must be free of their symptoms for 24 hours before returning to school. This spreads very easily throughout the classroom. Please continue to reinforce covering your cough and hand washing at home with your child. As always, should you have any questions about a medical issue, please reach out to me via phone or email at any time. Thank you!
Wall Primary School PTA

WTPS Appoints Dr. David Bleakley as New Superintendent of Schools
As you are aware, Dr. Handerhan announced back in the fall that she will be retiring at the end of this school year. Since then, the Wall Township Board of Education has been actively engaged in the search for a new Superintendent of Schools. At last night’s Board of Education Meeting, the Board of Education appointed Dr. David Bleakley as the next WTPS Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2026. Dr. Bleakley brings with him over 20 years of educational experience, and the Board of Education is thrilled to welcome him to the District.
