MP1 Week 3
Greetings Buffalo Community!
Week 3, here we come! Our Buffaloes have been working on mastering our rituals and routines in the classrooms, so now it's time to turn potential into progress! Read below for more updates.
Campus Wide Behavior Expectations
In order to ensure that all classrooms are aligned, we will be implementing a school wide behavior expectations rubric and system. The rubric can be found below for your information. A color coding system will be utilized by all teachers to inform parents about your child's behavior for the day. Information will be documented in the agenda. The following colors will be utilized:
Blue-Champion Behavior (Highest Level)
Green- Winner Behavior (Expected Behavior)
Yellow- Participant (Behaviors Need to Be Addressed)
Red- Observer (Documented Behaviors)
If a student ends in red for the day, teachers will be making direct contact with our families to provide details. Please note that students will ALWAYS have the opportunity to improve their behavior throughout the day. We want the system to be restorative, so that students make the right choices every day.
Volunteer Projects
Calling all volunteers. We are currently in need of two major projects at the campus. We need assistance organizing our bookroom and Science Lab. If you are interested in helping, please stop by this week.
College Day Reminders
As a reminder, Thursday is our designated college shirt day. College shirts must be worn with uniform bottoms. If students wish to opt of college day, the school uniform is required.
Back to School Dance
We will be having our first dance next Friday, August 21, 2026. The dance will take place during your child's P.E. class. Funds raised from the dance will be utilized to sponsor our Award Winning Robotics and Destination Imagination Teams.
Givebacks
Our district will be transitioning from My School Bucks to Givebacks this school year. The site will be utilized for all online purchases. We are working to finalize the page and will send out a message once it is up and running. Please review the flyer below for account setup information.
School IDs
All students will be required to wear school ID badges for the 2026-2027 school year. The initiative is to increase school safety and security. Students will receive their first ID card courtesy of the campus. Lost badges will cost $5 in the front office.
We are currently working on printing the individual badges. The first group of students to receive their new badges will be our 5th grade class.
Meal Applications
Please help us by completing your child's meal application as soon as possible. Classes with 100% completion will be eligible for a prize! Click on the link to get started. https://www.myschoolapps.com/Home/PickDistrict
Snapology Classes
Students in 1st-5th Grades are invited to join our Snapology After School Program. The program engages children using Lego bricks, motors and technology. If you are interested, please review the flyer below. Classes start August 19.

Our school uniform vendor is currently working to create additional inventory and will be returning for campus sales. We will announce their return once supplies have been replenished. The company is also working on creating an online store for convenient shopping. Thank you for your support!
