Today, we take a moment to remember September 11, 2001, a day when our country experienced a very difficult and heartbreaking event. Many people were hurt or lost their lives, including firefighters, police officers, first responders, and everyday people who were simply going about their day. We remember the courage of those who helped others, the families and communities who showed strength, and the many people who came together to care for one another. As we remember this day, let us also remember the importance of being kind, helping others, and standing together as a community. We honor those we lost by choosing to be brave, caring, and kind to others each day.

No student attendance at school

Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom for students to complete on Wednesday, September 16th, by 8:00 AM. Kindergarten students will have materials sent home by their teachers. Teachers will send Chromebooks home with students on Tuesday. Teachers will review how to access Google Classroom and explain assignment expectations.

Please note that this differs from virtual days due to weather, as teachers will participate in professional development throughout the day. There will be no live meetings with students; however, teachers will have office hours available to assist students from 1:30 - 2:00 pm. Students may email their teachers with questions, and teachers will respond during office hours. In order to be counted as present for attendance, students must complete their assigned work before returning to school on Thursday.

If you are going to volunteer, have lunch, or attend field trips with your child, a volunteer background check must be completed and approved each year. They do not carry over from year to year.

Transportation, Pick up & Drop Off Transportation, Pick up & Drop Off

Transportation and Dismissal Reminders

Any transportation changes must be reported directly to a person in the front office by 1:45 p.m. To help make dismissal safe and predictable for everyone, transportation changes should be limited to those that are necessary and should not be a daily occurrence. Whenever possible, please maintain a consistent transportation schedule. This helps reduce confusion and stress for students when they know where they are going each day.

For the safety of all students, students may only ride the bus they are regularly assigned to in the morning or afternoon. Students will not be permitted to change buses or ride home with another student, as our buses are at capacity.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding during drop-off and dismissal. It takes a few extra minutes to safely get students to their cars, verify that they are leaving with the correct person, and keep traffic moving. Our priority is always the safety of every student, so we appreciate your patience as we work together to make arrival and dismissal as safe and efficient as possible.

A new school year brings fresh opportunities to learn, grow, and discover. Together—as families, educators, and students—we can make this year one filled with curiosity, kindness, and success.
