High School - 4/2
High School Update - April 2, 2026
Dear High School Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful spring break. We are grateful for the hard work our students have shown and are excited to begin fourth quarter. There is a lot happening as we head into the final couple of months of the school year, so please take a look at the key dates below. If you are a senior parent, I have also included important upcoming dates to be aware of as we approach graduation season.
In addition, parents should have received their child’s third quarter progress report this week. Please keep in mind that these are progress report grades and do not go on a student’s transcript, but instead provide a snapshot of current progress and performance.
For juniors or seniors planning to take the ACT on campus on April 21, I have included some helpful student resources in the College and Career section of the newsletter.

High School Chapel Update - March 31
Psalm 145:4 says, "One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts." This verse is a challenge to all of us to declare the gospel of Jesus Christ to the next generation.
This week in chapel, we witnessed just that. In the second staff-led chapel this year, which included staff leading us in worship, students experienced staff who were bold in proclaiming the goodness of God. Our very own and beloved, Ms. Sharieon Long, brought the word, reminding students of the weight that Christ bore on the cross, pointing to the upcoming Easter season. Because of Him, we can withstand the schemes of the enemy, no matter how daunting it may seem. Generations worshiped, prayed, and read the word together in the chapel this week. A huge shoutout to all the staff who made this chapel special, and we would like to give special attention to Mrs. Katie Laing for making it happen.
Also, on April 14th, we will have our annual "Baptism Chapel." Pastor Dustin will be speaking on baptism next week and will invite any student in 5th-12th grade who desires to be baptized on the 14th. We take baptism very seriously and would like to partner with you if your child decides to be baptized. All parents/guardians will be made aware if your student wishes to participate, and will be asked to give permission for their child to partake in the event.
Happy Easter!
