UIL Practice will begin this week:

• Spanish Storytelling (2nd/3rd) will practice Tuesday mornings at 7:15 in room # 206.

• Chess Puzzles (2nd-5th) will practice Tuesday mornings at 7:15 in room # 407.
  

• Creative Writing (2nd) will practice Tuesday mornings at 7:15 in the Art Room.
  

• Ready Writing (3rd-5th) will be practice Tuesday mornings at 7:15 in room # 408.

• Storytelling (2nd/3rd) will practice Wednesday mornings at 7:15 in room # 212.
  

• Number Sense (4th/5th) will be practice Wednesday mornings at 7:15 in the Science Lab.
• Oral Reading (4th/5th) will practice Friday mornings at 7:15 in room # 411.
  

Students who have demonstrated trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Congratulations to this weeks winners!

Students are earning their tokens and getting to pick a free book from the book vending machine. They earned their books for being responsible and making good choices.

Our entire school will be participating in Hood-Case Reads! We will be reading Life According to Og the Frog by Betty Birney! On Monday, your oldest student will be bringing home the book. All students will receive a reading calendar and raffle tickets. On Monday, all families are asked to read Chapter 1 together. Once you finish, fill out the raffle ticket for Chapter 1 and send it to school with each of your students on Tuesday. That patterns continues for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. No time to read, no problem! On our school website is a tab named Hood-Case Reads! Simply click that tab on your computer, ipad or phone and each chapter will be there recorded for you and your students to listen to the chapter in both English and Spanish!

Week 5 of crazy 8s will be Monday, October 23rd from 4-5 pm. Remember to bring a small snack to enjoy as you are waiting for the club to start.
