Eblen Charity is a wonderful organization that serves the students and families of Buncombe County. This organization was started by a group of educators that wanted to make it easier for students and families to receive the help that they need (food, shelter, transportation, etc.) HERE is a link to their website.
All Buncombe County Schools participate in this exciting fundraiser. Students pay $1 to participate in the spirit day listed or $5 to participate in all 5 days. Students can also raise additional money for Eblen. Students receive a paper pumpkin for each dollar that they donate. They sign the pumpkin and hang it on their hallway walls. The classroom that sales the most pumpkins will receive a pizza party and a gift card for classroom supplies. The student that raises the most money will receive a gift card.
Also, our school sets a pumpkin goal. This year, we want to sale 3,000 pumpkins (Raise $3,000.00). If we meet this goal, Eblen Charity will give the school a gift card for classroom supplies as well! If students meet our school goal, there will also be a fun challenge for Mrs. Jones to complete (more details coming soon!) We hope that your students will enjoy this fun week with us! (see details below)
*Note: If your family cannot contribute to the pumpkin drive, please allow your student to enjoy the spirit days. We do not want any student to miss out on the fun!
