Message from Mr. Imbusch
Dear students, staff, and parents/guardians:
We are now half way through term 1, and Progress Reports will be posted to your X2 Aspen accounts this coming Wednesday, October 16th. Should students be struggling in a particular class, now is the time to act! There are many ways to receive extra help:
- Teachers are available after school;
- Teachers are available during Interventions for students who have a studyhall on their schedule. Students have access to the Intervention schedule on their homepage;
- National Honor Society students are available each period in the Media Center to assist any student;
- Teachers are available during the last half hour of the day on a Wednesday. This is particularly helpful if students do not have a studyhall in their schedule;
There should be no reason that a student cannot access extra help should they need it.
I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful long weekend.
Sincerely,
Stephen Imbusch
Principal

Learn about the WHS Building Project at the first PAC Meeting, Oct 23rd, 7:00pm
Dear WHS Families,
On behalf of the WHS PAC, we would like to welcome all new and returning families to the WHS community. We are looking forward to another great year! Please join us for our first meeting – Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:00pm in the Media Center.
All parents/guardians are encouraged to attend to learn more about what’s happening at Walpole High School. Principal Imbusch will provide a back-to-school update and highlight the plans for the WHS building expansion.
The major activities the PAC supports are related to Staff Appreciation. This year we welcomed staff back to school with refreshing slushies from local favorite Rita's. We are planning a breakfast treat on one of the professional development days and we periodically restock the staff room with coffee/tea/hot chocolate and sweet and salty treats. Our big annual event is a fun luncheon celebration for all staff in May.
As we do not participate in traditional fundraising efforts, our budget comes from the generosity of our WHS families. Your contributions are always welcome. Please consider making a family donation any time: Venmo @Whs-Donations (include “PAC donation” in the notes) or by check (payable to WHS PAC and send to the office). Thank you for your help in showing the staff how much they are appreciated!
Future PAC meeting dates - mark your calendar!
February 26th – Learning about the WHS course selection process
April 30th – The college planning process; parent panel discussion
If you have any questions prior to the meetings, please email the PAC at whspac@walpole.k12.ma. Thank you for your support. We hope to see many of you on October 23rd at 7pm in the Media Center!
