Welcome to the 25-26 School Year!
I hope this first official newsletter of the 2025–2026 school year finds you well! It’s hard to believe that summer is already halfway over. As we begin to turn our attention to the upcoming school year, I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself and share a few important upcoming dates.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles dedicated to supporting students, families, and educators. I began my career in 2001 as a high school special education teacher. Since joining Lake Zurich in 2015, I’ve served as an elementary instructional coach, summer school principal, assistant principal at MSN, and most recently, Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Fun fact: some of your children may remember me as their kindergarten online social studies teacher! I’m thrilled to return to the Wolf Pack. I believe middle school is a pivotal time for students to grow socially and academically, while exploring new interests. I also believe that strong relationships and high expectations are the foundation of a thriving school community.
On a personal note, I’ve been married for 20 years and have two children and two dogs. My oldest is a biochemistry student at Iowa State, and my youngest is entering his senior year of high school (sniff). I’m truly looking forward to a fantastic year ahead and partnering with you to make it great. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. Go Wolves!
6th Grade Scavenger Hunt and a Note from the PTO
The MSN PTO has been busy planning exciting events for the upcoming school year, and we’d love your support! We’re currently looking for a new PTO President (or co-presidents), a role that requires a small time commitment but offers a great way to stay connected through just five meetings a year and monthly district-wide PTO gatherings. We also have a variety of committee openings throughout the year, so whether you want to lead or lend a hand, there’s a place for you! if interested, reach out to middleschoolnorthpto@gmail.com for more information.
