It is a great day to be a Carl Middle School family member. We are so grateful for the incredible start to the school year here at Carl Sandburg Middle School! The first week was filled with energy, positivity, and smooth routines thanks to the support of our families, the dedication of our staff, and the enthusiasm of our students. Our students came back to school ready to learn. We already have completed two of our drills over the first couple of days. This should what a strong community that we have to create such a strong kick-off, and we are fortunate to have one that works with us so well. Thank you for helping us launch the year on such a high note—we are excited for all that lies ahead!

Let’s make it a great week Tigers and Tiger Families.

Tiger Truck Fest will be here on Friday, September 5th. We’re excited to share some big news about our annual community event!

The community’s enthusiasm for a variety of flavors and food experiences inspired us to reimagine the event and we’re thrilled to announce that BratFest is officially becoming a Tiger Truck Fest!!

Tiger Truck Fest will still have all the fun things you love:

Local groups to visit
Games for kids
A great community feeling
Same Great Spirit, More Great Bites!
We can’t wait to welcome you to the newly renamed District 75's Tiger Truck Fest!

Please email the attached PDF flyer to your families prior to Picture Day. You will also receive a shipment of flyers to pass out to the students to bring home.

This is a prepay site and ordering will be closed at Midnight the day of Picture Day to process the orders. If parents missed prepaying they will have a chance to order pictures with their child's Ticket Code. When placing an order after Picture Day with a Ticket Code a shipping fee will be added on and picture packages will be shipped directly to the home. Ticket Codes will be delivered with the bulk picture package order approximately three weeks post Picture Day.

We are so proud of our Tigers for doing reading over the summer. If you're new to CSMS or just haven't completed your reading yet please look over Mrs. Duncan's choice board of books here. The assignment for all Tigers is found here

The main entrance has been moved to the MPR. All students will enter and go through the MPR and into the building before school. During the school day all deliveries, parent pick ups, and any other drop offs will be done at the MPR doors. We have lot of signs to help during construction.

Student sign-outs for CSMS will end for the day at 3:00 pm. If you need to sign your student out in the afternoon, please make arrangements to ensure that you arrive at CSMS before 3:00 pm.
