Week of Worship is Only a Week Away!
We are looking forward to our student led week of worship starting on the 29th. This week is planned and implemented by our 8th grade class who are active in the ministry of sharing about Jesus. Families are welcome to join us each morning.
KAES is pleased to welcome Kristen Iverson as our new 3rd grade teacher
Mrs. Iverson has worked at KAES in many capacities from student teacher to librarian. She has a deep love for helping kids grow in every way and making every child feel valued. It is likely that you have already been able to get to know her but if you haven't please welcome her.
5th Grade Trip to Galveston Island
5th grade Science trip
This year Mrs. Knoll wanted to help her 5th graders experience science in a more hands on way. The 5th grade spent three days on Galveston Island learning about ocean life, fish and currents. They were able to see birds banded, crocodiles and even got a chance to tour the Blue Bell ice cream factory.
6th Grade Trip to Outdoor School
Outdoor School
This is a yearly event that all 6th graders in the Texas Conference Adventist School System are invited to attend. It is a spiritually focused week that gives students learning opportunities outside the classroom.
7th Grade History Trip to Houston
7th grade history trip
The annual 7th grade history trip to Huston is always look forward to. This year students were able to not just learn but experience what it was like to be an early settler in Texas. From cutting wood, washing laundry and tending the farm it was a hard life that our students experienced. They also spent the day at NASA and learned about our space program.
Spring MAP Testing Next Week
Next week is our last MAP testing for the year. This is not high stakes testing that you hear about. It is a regular measurement of how your child is learning. This is an intentional tool teachers use to support your child. We want students to perform their best. Please make sure your child is rested next week. Give them word of encouragement and remind them to do their best. Teachers would also appreciate any nutrition snacks that you would be willing to provide for their classrooms.
It is time to enroll for the next year!
It is time to register for next year. Registration is now open for everyone. Tell your friends and neighbors. Families who complete their registration by April 30 will receive a $100 discount on registration. Discount will only be given if all paperwork is completed and registration fee is paid by April 30.
