English Department Students Of The Month
Lucy Ostola and Chase Sellnow
Lucy Ostola is a dedicated and hardworking individual who consistently goes above and beyond in her work. She consistently brings insightful perspectives to class discussions and thoughtfully contributes to all classwork and activities. Her consistency and strong work ethic make her a standout student and a valuable member of the classroom community.
Chase Sellnow is currently excelling in both his English classes, Journalism and English 11. He is one of the leaders in Journalism as the technology director and is taking the class for a second year in a row. Chase goes above and beyond, writing articles, editing, and putting the paper together using InDesign. Once a month, Chase visits The Mining Journal and works with the editors to publish the paper, gaining invaluable real-world experience. The editors he works with have nothing but positive things to say about Chase and his work. In English 11, Chase excels with the classwork as he is both hard-working and timely, skills he learned in Journalism. With every publication he continues to grow as a writer and publisher, but more importantly, as a leader.

Attention Senior Parents/Guardians
WHS Senior Parents and Guardians: As we do every year, we will be putting together a senior memory video to be shown on your student's last day of school during the breakfast. It is a fun video and the students love to see the memories.
We would like to include as many pictures as possible from their lives. But we aren't looking for individual shots. We need pictures, with two or more seniors in the shot. These can be from birth through their senior year. We would love to see pictures from school, summer activities, preschool, holiday events, etc. The more we have to work with, the better the video turns out.
These pictures can be sent to me via email at villars@nice.k12.mi.us or to Madisyn Gregorich at msgregorich@nice.k12.mi.us. You can also send in hard copies to be scanned and returned to you.
We will need to have all pictures in by the beginning of May in order to have the video completed in time.
Please let me know if you have any questions and we cannot wait to see the pictures!!
