AVID helps students take ownership of their learning by setting goals and monitoring their progress

This week, encourage students to:

  • Set a specific learning goal

  • Identify what success will look like

  • Create a plan for reaching their goal

  • Reflect on their progress

Ask students:

  • β€œWhat is one thing you want to get better at this week, and what will you do to get there?”

AVID Challenge:

  • Have students set one academic or personal goal and revisit it at the end of the week.
