Honoring Our Heroes: 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
We warmly invite all Eastview families to join us for our annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Friday, September 11th, at 8:15 a.m. We will gather together around the flagpole to share our gratitude for the local heroes who do so much for our community.
This special tradition is a time to honor our veterans, firefighters, police officers, and emergency dispatchers. If you or a close family member (parent, grandparent, or sibling) serve or have served in these roles, we would be truly honored to have you stand with us. To show our school spirit and respect, students and guests are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue.
Leading up to the event, students will participate in meaningful classroom activities to prepare. After the ceremony, please join us for breakfast as a thank you for your service and support of our school. We look forward to seeing you there!
Understanding the A B C D E Calendar
The Elementary A-B-C-D-E Calendar serves as a schedule for all K-5 specials classes. Beginning in kindergarten, all elementary school students attend the following specials classes: art, music, PE, Skills for Success, and STEM.
Please note: Specials classes are in addition to classes focused on core areas of instruction.
Each elementary classroom teacher has an individualized specials schedule, which is guided by the Elementary A-B-C-D-E Calendar. To learn more about your student’s specific specials schedule, please contact your student’s teacher.
Elementary school students receive the following instructional time for specials:
Art – 60 minutes (one time every other A-E sequence)
Music – 30 minutes (two times each A-E sequence)
PE – 30 minutes (two times each A-E sequence)
Skills for Success – 30 minutes (one time each A-E sequence)
STEM – 60 minutes (one time every other A-E sequence)

Dress for the Changing Weather
While we have enjoyed a warm start to the season, cooler days are right around the corner. Please ensure your child comes to school prepared with appropriate outerwear each morning, as temperatures often shift throughout the day.
Recess Gear & Snow Rules
Layering Up: Please send your child with hats, gloves, boots, snow pants, and winter coats as the weather cools.
Snowy Days: Once snow arrives, students must wear both boots and snow pants to play in the snow. Those without both will remain on the cleared blacktop area.
Fostering Independence: Students are responsible for putting on and fastening their own outdoor gear. Please keep this in mind when buying winter clothing and practice zips, snaps, and boots at home!
Indoor Recess Guidelines Students will stay indoors for recess if:
It is actively raining.
The temperature or real feel drops below 10°F.
The temperature or real feel rises above 100°F.
