February 2026
Message from the Directors
🎉 Celebrating CTE Month at DCSD Legacy Campus! February is Career & Technical Education (CTE) Month — a great time to honor the hands-on learning and real-world skill building that prepares students for meaningful careers and post-secondary success. At the DCSD Legacy Campus, our pathways in areas such as advanced robotics, health sciences, cybersecurity, aviation, and more continue to connect students with industry and college opportunities. In just a few years, Legacy students have earned thousands of concurrent and dual-enrollment college credits — saving families over $3.3 million in tuition costs — and demonstrating the value of early career preparation.
We also celebrated the success of our 2nd Automation Expo, where 29 industry partners and more than 600 attendees came together for hands-on demonstrations and to explore careers in automation and robotics — inspiring future engineers, technicians, and innovators.
📣 Applications for the 2026–2027 school year are now open! We encourage students and families to visit the Applications page on our website for details and to start the journey toward a career-ready future.

Reminders
In-Person Classes on Friday February 20th
We do not have school on Monday, February 16th for Presidents Day. All high schools will be running the block periods 1-4 on Friday, February 20th that week, and classes will be held in-person at the DCSD Legacy Campus. Please consult our calendar if you have any questions. All high schools have made this shift according to the coordinated high school schedule, so your student should not be missing any other classes.
We will have Noah Cares van transportation running routes on these days.
Legacy Marketplace will NOT be open on Fridays, so please plan ahead for lunch and/or snacks.
Attendance Line
Please do NOT call Arapahoe Community College regarding attendance. It is only handled by DCSD Legacy Campus Staff.
If/when a student is going to miss class at the Legacy Campus, parents/guardians must call Legacy Campus Attendance Line at 303-387-7803 to excuse them from Legacy Campus classes in addition to calling the student’s primary high school.
This is also applicable when a student might miss for any school-related absence such as clubs, activities, athletics, and field trips. We are not informed by high schools or coaches, so please call to excuse your student.
Excused absences require a parent/guardian call within 48 hours. Parents/Guardians ONLY may call the attendance line. Students (even after turning 18yrs old) are NOT permitted to call themselves out.

2026-2027 Application Information
Second Year Students staying in the same Pathway will receive their applications directly from the teacher.
First Year Students or New Pathway - Steps to Apply:
Prior to registering, do your homework…
Read through this guide, check out the FAQ on our website, attend a tour.
- Meet with your primary high school counselor to discuss your interest in a Legacy Campus pathway.
- Request the courses you desire through Infinite Campus. This will be done as a part of your normal high school registration for next year’s classes. You will need to search through the list of offerings and select the appropriate Legacy pathway title placeholder and add it to your requests. Full directions with step-by-step screenshots will be available on the Legacy Campus website in January. Deadline to request pathway in IC is Friday, February 6, 2026.
- You’re not done yet! Important! In addition to your pathway request in IC, ALL Legacy Campus classes require an application that is specific to the pathway you choose. These will be available starting January 16th. Go to our website at www.legacycampus.org and complete a student application for the specific pathway you are requesting. All applications are due by Friday, February 27, 2026.
- Your primary high school counselor will complete a recommendation form to verify your eligibility. Please let them know you’ve applied.
- Spots are not guaranteed. Some pathways will have a waitlist. Once accepted, your Legacy counselor will place you on a roster. At that point, it’s official! We will email all students a congratulatory email once we’ve rostered you.
- There will be a mandatory orientation night in late April where you will sign up for your college credit and make sure you have all the necessary information for next year’s classes (textbooks, uniforms, etc.).
- Classes begin at the start of the school year in alignment with your primary high school start dates. Our full calendar will be posted online.
- Attend the DCSD Legacy Campus Check-In in August and look for emails from your teacher with important information.
