Rockbrook Elementary School Construction
Beginning this summer, Rockbrook Elementary School will start construction on the addition of a gym and an early childhood center on the blacktop area where the playground is currently located just to the north of the pool. The Pool Board was able to meet with Prairie Construction and the principal at Rockrook Elementary to get important information to pass along to pool members. We also will email and text any important updates as the project continues through the summer.
We are fortunate to have a great partnership with the school and construction company and the Pool Board feels very confident that things will run smoothly. The south parking lot that the pool uses will not be affected this summer, however, parking will not be allowed weekdays from 6am-3:30pm on Woodridge Lane around the construction area. Construction crews will not be allowed to park in the south parking lot. Signs will be posted along the construction fences. We are also able to use the north school parking lot for overflow as well.
What to expect this summer – Noisy activities
➢ Demo and earthwork
➢ Concrete footings and building slab
➢ Storm sewer tie in middle of Woodridge Lane (More information to come on this, but they are hoping to complete this after the pool closes this fall.)
Please be extra cautious about crossing the street from the parking lot to the pool and supervising children around the construction area as there will be an increase in traffic, heavy equipment and trucks. Using the sidewalk on 108th Street in front of the school for walking or biking would be a preferred route rather than Woodridge Lane.
If you have any questions or concerns throughout the summer, please email the pool board and we will do our best to answer questions or find out information as needed.
Timeline
May 26, 2025 – construction begins with fencing off project site
June to September 2025 – demo/earthwork/concrete work
October to December 2025 – precast and steel erection & south parking lot entrance
June 2026 – Certificate of Occupancy
July 2026 – Move In
For more information and images of what the construction area will look like, please see the District 66 Master Plan on the pool website!
Rockbrook Pool is Cashless
Beginning this year, the concession and guest fees will be cashless. We know that this may be a learning curve for families with children. We are hopeful that this will allow the staff and Pool Board to streamline our accounting and banking. You can load money for guest passes to your account here on the website. You can also use any credit card, tap to pay, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa Gift Card ect. to pay for guest fees or concessions. For children/teens you may also contact your bank or other services for debit card options.
Register Your Family Members
Rockbrook Pool uses the Frontdesk App on the iPad for check in. Please make sure that all family members are registered before coming to visit. Beginning the week of June 9th, only members listed on your account will be allowed access to the pool. All adults should be set up as Head of Household and children/nanny as dependents. As a reminder, below are the membership types and who can be included in your membership. If you have a family membership with older children, please remember that dependent children are those under 19 or under 24 if a full time student. Any children who do not fit within those age limits must come with a member of the household and pay the guest fee.
There are four types of Full Membership to Rockbrook Pool:
Individual/Duo Adult Membership – Up to 2 adults 18 to 55 years of age living in the same home.
Family Membership- Up to 2 adults that are 18 to 55 years of age with dependent children living in the same home. Dependent children are those under 19, under 24 if a full time student, or any age if disabled.
Senior Membership – 55 years of age and better and includes your spouse if he/she is also 55 or better with no maintenance fee.
Grandparent Family Membership- Up to 2 adults 55 and better who may list up to five grandchildren (no older than 18). These grandchildren do not need to live in the home of their grandparents. The children may participate on swim team. Parents MUST pay a guest fee when visiting the pool. Grandchildren not listed on the membership must pay guest fee.
Caregiver/Nanny- $40 non-family member of a current bond holder added to the Family Membership.
Sponsor Our Pool!
Since its establishment in 1965, Rockbrook Pool has been a vital community hub, providing a space for people to come together and enjoy the summer. The pool is operated by a volunteer board and is a membership-based facility that includes a heated 25-yard pool, diving area with a water slide, a baby pool, a sand volleyball court, sun deck, and other amenities. The pool has long been a place where families can stay cool and have fun during the hot summer months.
To maintain the pool and support the Class A Greater Omaha swim team, Rockbrook Pool relies on community sponsorships from local businesses and individuals. These sponsorships help keep swim team costs and membership fees affordable for families. This year, several key projects are planned, including the installation of a new pump and filtration system to maintain high water quality for the upcoming seasons. The pool is seeking sponsors to help fund these initiatives.
For more information on sponsorship, please visit our sponsorship webpage here or contact Sarah Wisecup, Events & Fundraising Chair at 402-630-9886.

Parent support is VITAL to the success of our swim team.
Our biggest ask of parents is to help volunteer. The Swim Team needs lots of help during the season, so please pitch in where you can.
