Main Road Weekly Update

Dear Main Road Families,

This week at Main Road School was filled with school spirit as we celebrated Red Ribbon Week with daily themed spirit days promoting healthy choices and a drug-free lifestyle. A special thank you to our incredibly generous Main Road School PTO for purchasing leis for all students and staff to support our “Lei Off Drugs” theme! Our weekly therapy dog visits also continued, bringing smiles and positivity to our students.

On Friday, Main Road School embraced the Halloween spirit as students arrived in their costumes for a fun-filled day! Homerooms enjoyed small celebrations toward the end of the school day, complete with light refreshments generously provided by our families.

We ended the week with our PTO-sponsored Trunk or Treat event on Friday evening, which was a tremendous success, with over 250 tickets sold! A huge thank you to our dedicated PTO, participating families, and volunteers for making this event such a memorable experience for our school community. It was a wonderful week filled with school spirit, community involvement, and Mustang pride!

Please note the following important daily schedule information:

• The school day begins promptly at 8:00 AM.
• Student dismissal will occur simultaneously with buses this year departing promptly at 2:45 PM
• Please arrive prior to 2:45 for Parent pick-up each day. **You need to let the office know that your child is a parent pickup prior to 2:00 PM each day. Dojo messages regarding transportation should not be sent to teachers during instructional hours.**

Our Morning Meetings in November will focus on the theme of Responsibility. We are excited to kick off November by exploring what it means to be Responsible and how we can show responsibility each day.

At Main Road School, we define Responsibility as the state of being independent and accountable. Through meaningful conversations and activities, students will learn how they can remain accountable.

We believe that developing skills around Responsibility will help us build a strong foundation for a successful school year—one filled with learning, connection, and growth for all.
