Attendance changes can be left on our attendance line by calling 987-0717 and dismissal changes should be communicated by using the online form found here.

When making an attendance or dismissal change please contact the office. You may contact the teacher as well. It is important for all changes to come through the office so we are aware of what children are coming and going when. In addition, if there is a substitute teacher in the classroom they will not receive the homeroom teachers emails.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

November 6, 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Conferences will take place on Wednesday, November 6th. Conferences are (click here to enter our book fair drawing)15 minutes in length with start times between 2:30-7:15 pm.

Due to time limitations, only ONE conference will be scheduled for each student. This conference is intended to include ALL parents/guardians of that child. If there are two households involved, please work together to find a mutually agreeable time.

To pick a time slot, please follow this link:

https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Mineral_Point_Unified_School_District

On that web page, you will be asked to select the name of your child’s teacher (one conference per student). Enter information for that student and submit. You will then receive an email with a link to select the date and time (this extra step confirms you have used a valid email address). After returning to the page and selecting the date and time, submit the form.

  • If you have more than one student, you may select more than one teacher. Follow the prompts to schedule for more than one student. This will bring up each student’s teacher side-by-side so you can compare available times more easily. Parents needing to schedule for more than one student should do so as soon as possible to better ensure time blocks close together.

Once all times have been scheduled, click on “Submit”. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

If you have questions or do not have internet access, please contact me at 987-0710.

Sincerely,

Jane Barr
MPES Administrative Assistant

Are you ready for some football???

A message from Athletic Director Vickie Dahl --

All elementary students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in order to attend the football events. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children and are asked to have their children sit with them. It is imperative to have everyone on their best behavior.

For any upcoming home football playoff games, we will have the same policy in effect.

If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Dahl at vickie.dahl@mp.k12.wi.us

Thank you for your support of #PointerNation!

The word of the month for October is "Empathy". All students will participate in an assembly to introduce the idea of Empathy on Monday, October 7th. Our mantra to describe Empathy is: "Seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another, and feeling with the heart of another". Ask your child or check out our facebook page to see how we're implementing Empathy in the classroom.
