FAMILY FUN DAYS

In June, the FACE team hosted Family Fun Mornings at Marcella Elementary, Hambrick Middle School, and Eisenhower High School. Families enjoyed engaging activities from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. while the students attended summer camp. Families had a great time making crafts, doing reading and math activities, and learning ways to communicate with their children by learning the "5 Love Languages". Families also received backpacks filled with reading and math activities they could use at home.

Primary Summer Camp

Primary campus families enjoyed engaging activities that could help support their students at home. From reading strategies to Zumba and yoga sessions, FACE Liaisons Gina Mann, Magdalena Ruiz, Cynthia Aguilera, Charlotte Wynn, and Jodi Angen did an outstanding job establishing relationships with the families attending summer camp at Stovall Primary, Garcia Leza, Keeble, Jones Primary, and DeSantiago.

Esports Conference hosted by Aldine ISD

Aldine Esports with Dell and Advanced Learning Partnerships invites teachers, students, parents and administrators who wish to learn about Esports to the Greater Houston Area Esports Conference July 20th, 2022 at Davis HS at 8:00 A.M.

Parents and students will find information about the mission and vision of Aldine Esports in providing a path to career and scholarship opportunities. We seek to provide information for parents concerned with online equity and bullying, time spent on screens and the skills students will experience as part of our club initiative. Parents and students please register at bit.ly/esportsaldine

Panels, speakers and vendor showcases are scheduled to help schools develop a successful plan for starting an Esports club. Gaming examples, discussions about equity, bullying, and career opportunities are planned for attendees to learn about developing leadership, scholarship and Esports goals. We invite everyone to join us in planning for Esports competitions and clubs in the greater Houston Area.

We look forward to sharing ideas with professionals from the Esports industry, competitors, and established club managers.
