Meet our Youth Apprenticeship Coach
Hello! My name is Kristen Schiedermayer, and I am excited to join Bay Port High School as the new Youth Apprenticeship Coach. I look forward to working with students as they explore their interests, discover potential career paths, and begin thinking about their futures. I’m excited to help students connect their strengths and interests with meaningful work-based learning experiences while gaining valuable skills and confidence through Youth Apprenticeship.
My professional background is primarily in higher education, and for the past five years, I worked as a Career Counselor at St. Norbert College. I also have experience in Manufacturing/Engineering and Healthcare. Outside of work, I am married to my wonderful husband, Nick, and we have two sons, ages 1 and 3. We currently live in Ashwaubenon and I’m excited to learn more about the Howard-Suamico community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can help in any way or if there are ways we can support each other.

Giving Tree
The Giving Tree is excited for a new school year! Students were invited to our Back-to-School event on August 12 and received school supplies, backpacks, socks and underwear. Students were also given oral health care bags, had the opportunity to sign up for in-district dental care, and signed up for free or reduced meal benefits through our School Nutrition department. If you missed this event and your student is in need of school supplies or if you think you may qualify for support from The Giving Tree, please reach out to Kourtney Feldhausen at kourfeld@hssdschools.org or call 920-662-7989.
The Giving Tree will continue to support families who missed our Back-to-School Event. If your student is still in need of a backpack or supplies, please reach out to your school social worker. Also, don’t forget to apply for meal benefits in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal if you haven’t done so already.
Upcoming supports through The Giving Tree include monthly food pantries, winter apparel and registering for our December Holiday Store. More information to come each month with details for families and donors.

YSL Tissue Drive - extended dates!
YSL has extended its tissue drive through September 11th to help keep our classrooms stocked with tissues! With 100+ staff members, our goal is to collect over 1,000 boxes of tissues to have for the entirety of the school year. (This is approximately one box a month for each teacher.) Families can donate tissue boxes during school days by dropping them in collection boxes in the rotunda or outside room B240. All donations will be distributed to teachers throughout the school. Thank you for your help in keeping students' noses from running away!
