On Friday, April 15th, the Walker Elementary track will be wild with color, fun, music and running! This will be the 6th year the PTA has used this event as our main fundraiser! By class, children will go to the track for 20 minutes and run/walk! They will be sprinkled with colored powder along the way to make it a little more WILD! Every student will get to participate and every student will receive a t-shirt! Our Color Run theme this year is neon 80's! We would love to see our Wildcats get into the spirit by wearing 80s clothing and/or neon.
Here is where the fundraising comes into play. Packets were sent home with students last week. Links to the forms sent in the packets can be found below. Students have one week left to seek out sponsors from neighbors, co-workers, family members, friends, etc. Sponsors can pledge a set dollar amount. We have an online pledging option through our PTA Venmo account @WalkerPTA-Wildcat, which makes our fundraising even easier. If family/friends use the Venmo option, they must put the student’s name, grade, and teacher for it to count towards their fundraising total. Our goal is to have every child raise $20.00 or more. There will be prizes involved for any child that raises funds and LARGER prizes for our top 4 money raisers.
