Hello School Psychs!

At this point you are in the swing of things with the new school year. I hope things are going well, but please reach out for support!

October is a big month- we have lots of things planned for school psychs at Region 10! Check out the upcoming sessions to see the guest speakers booked for the rest of the semester.

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th - October 15th) is a time to honor Hispanic and Latino culture. For school psychologists, it's a chance to reflect on how cultural competence and inclusivity are vital to our practice.

Understanding the diverse backgrounds of our students is key. Use this month to learn more about Hispanic and Latino traditions and values, improving your cultural competence. Create a welcoming environment by celebrating Hispanic contributions to art, science, and literature. Reinforce your efforts to engage with Hispanic and Latino families. Address the unique challenges Hispanic and Latino students might face, such as language barriers or discrimination, to support their success.

During Hispanic Heritage Month, let's renew our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our schools. Together, we can make a positive impact on students' lives.
