We Are DWS Kids!
DWS staff members can award any student with a DWS ALL STAR when they see students being Dedicated, Welcoming, or Safe. All of the DWS ALL STAR awards are put on display in the front lobby. The following students were featured in the morning announcements last week for being DWS ALL STARS!
Grade K: Sarah in Mrs. Damelio’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she participated and was a Heggerty expert.
Grade K: James in Mrs. Prendergast’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he worked hard during Math.
Grade 1: Arthur in Mrs. MacDonald’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he did a great job during reading and followed along.
Grade 1: Luiz in Mrs. MacDonald’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he showed exemplary work during knowledge block.
Grade 2: Gavin in Ms. Mulligan’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he wrote an amazing central message paragraph.
Grade 2: Frankie in Ms. Mulligan’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she did amazing work during reading groups.
Grade 3: Julian in Mrs. Hines’ class is a DWS ALL STAR because he worked so diligently in Math to solve complex problems.
Grade 3: June in Mrs. Hanson’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she explained her thinking during Math talk.
Grade 4: CJ in Mrs. Robatzek’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he made great predictions while previewing a book he was about to read.
Grade 4: Angie in Mrs. Robatzek’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she made great connections about fractions.
Grade 5: Jaymelee in Ms. LaForest’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she stayed focused on Math and ignored distractions.
Grade 5: James in Mrs. SanAngelo’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he took extra special care of our classroom environment.

Next PTO Meeting: Monday 6/2/25 at 7:00 in the DWS Library.
We will have open PTO positions for next year. We are looking for help with the following positions: Co-Treasurer, Co-DEI, Co-Enrichment, Co-Volunteer Coordinator, Co-Publicity
These are all shared positions to allow for flexibility in commitment.

If you have not already done so, please submit your child’s kindergarten registration as soon as possible.
